Decide
on a basic format keeping it in line with other documents
you may already have as well as your position in the market
place.

After
looking at your product range we provide you with several
layout alternatives from which to choose from.

When
you have decided on a layout style we produce a rough draft
which helps to determine the number of pages and the physical
size of the catalogue.

We
then ask you to provide the text and product descriptions
for each product. This can be hand-written, typed or supplied
as a word processor file.

For
product photos we shoot new ones using our Nikon high end
digital camera and digitising technology which is faster &
less expensive than normal photographic methods.

Typesetting
of the text and positioning of your photos into the layouts
is then completed. A black and white laser printed draft is
then given to you for checking.

We
then correct any alterations, fix any late additions or deletions
and reprint another black and white draft for you to do a
final check.

After
your happy we impose the pages ready for producing film. A
final colour proof is then produced and we then are ready
to print.

When
printing, trimming, collating and stapling is completed we
deliver the finished catalogue to your premises.
If
you already have printers etc that you have a
good working relationship with, we are quite happy
to produce the catalogue up to the film stage and supply your printer
with what they need to print
the job for you.

PAGE
LAYOUT:
After an initial discussion with you covering your product range,
your niche in the market place and the style of other catalogues
or brochures you already have we come up with a basic page layout.
We will then make up several examples using this basic layout but
with different typefaces, photograph positions and headings. These
examples are then given to you to determine which you prefer. This
is then the master that we will use for your complete catalogue.
LOGOS
AND GRAPHICS:
We can scan, resize and manipulate any of your existing company
logos, business headers and symbols for use wherever you require
on your catalogue.
PHOTOGRAPHY:
Each product in your catalogue can be represented by either
a photograph or a line drawing.
For
products where photographs are preferred we can use your existing
material if any or we can arrange to use our digital photography
system. This system is ideal for companies that have a large range
of product and do not need to go to the expense of traditional 35mm
photography but still require a professional look in either colour
or black and white.
On
products where specifications and dimensions need to be shown a
line drawing is quite often the best to use. You will be surprised
how well a line drawing taken from a specification sheet or manual
can be made to look and how much information it can provide in a
reasonably small area.
TEXT:
When you provide the text we can use any of these formats, ie:
Handwritten Typed Computer Disc Existing
Catalogues or Brochures.
